Ocean Reef Marina

Overview / Get Involved / Public Realm / Community Reference Group

A new waterfront precinct at Ocean Reef is expected to be the living, working and playing destination the community has been waiting for – a world-class tourism, residential, retail and marine base providing facilities for boats and vibrant new spaces for residents and tourists alike.

The State Government has committed $120M into the Ocean Reef Marina project. LandCorp is delivering this important project on behalf of the Government and in collaboration with the City of Joondalup and the Department of Transport.

Background

The City of Joondalup has worked closely with the community over many years to develop a number of draft concept plans for the Marina.

In September 2017, Premier Mark McGowan announced that LandCorp would lead the development and work with the City of Joondalup to deliver the project on behalf of the State Government.

The Refined Concept Plan has now been released, taking in community feedback and ensuring we can deliver a world-class marina development that is environmentally responsible, financially sustainable and appropriate for the location.

LandCorp has started talking to stakeholders, in late 2018 we held a forum for neighbouring residents attended by 140 people, and we hosted a Community Open Day where more than 2,000 people came to find out more about the refined concept plan.

We are continuing to meet with key stakeholder groups to ensure that the detailed design creates the best outcome for the whole community.

We are thrilled with the enthusiasm shown by the local community and we can’t wait to get you more involved in the development of the detailed plans.

What's next?

A big part of this project will be to create unique public spaces – where the community will visit, meet friends and family and contribute to the vibrancy of the area.

We know great public spaces will bring Ocean Reef Marina to life and we would love your input into the Landscape Masterplan.

We have a Community Reference Group (CRG) that is comprised of 20 members from across community and stakeholder groups. This group is working to design the public spaces within the Marina. We are seeking further involvement from the broader community so that the CRG can consider your thoughts as part of their deliberations and recommendations.
